Hey ChatGPT, roast our team…Hilariously accur Hey ChatGPT, roast our team…Hilariously accurate. Megan is the sweetest friend who will keep your habit-stacking ducks in a row with some tough love and will absolutely call you out for bad formatting and using paper calendars. Lauren 100% runs the chaos, skips lunch, and does it all with workout pants on bottom and a work blouse up top (gotta get those steps in at lunch 🤣). Madi has the purest heart, finds joy in the stillness, and can absolutely shoot you straight with the most pointed and accurate advice that sometimes hurts (in a good way 🫶🏽).Who do you most relate to?! Drop a heart!

💛 Little of each!
In the beautiful, messy world of summertime mommin In the beautiful, messy world of summertime mommin’, our energy shapes the rhythm of our environment. ✨ One of our favorite mantras to find calm in the chaos: “Peace begins with me now.” It’s simple but powerful. Here’s how to practice it:🖐🏽 Tap your thumb to each fingertip, one at a time—like a mini meditation you can do anytime, anywhere.
👂🏽 As you tap, repeat (or sing!) out loud or in your head:
peace (thumb to index)
begins (thumb to middle)
with me (thumb to ring)
now (thumb to pinky)Slow it down as you repeat the phrase, breathe deep, and let the rhythm reset your nervous system.
Mommin’ is full of unexpected overwhelm and yes, even rage—(just peep our most google searched words from moms!). But when we take even 30 seconds to calm our minds, it radiates out to our kids, our partners, and the whole mood of our home.👊🏽 Because when mama is calm, everyone else can breathe easier, too.🫶🏽 Save this mantra for your next meltdown and share it with a mama friend who needs to hear it today. 💛
School’s out and the house already looks like a School’s out and the house already looks like a tornado named “Summer” blew through. 😅
But not this year. We’re entering our ✨ mom-hack era ✨

Here are 5 simple things I’m doing to stay sane as we shift into summer:
🗑️ Laundry Room Trash Can — For broken toys, glitter explosions, and “priceless” art I’m not allowed to throw away in the kitchen trash. No witnesses = no meltdowns.
🧺 Upstairs Basket — One basket for all the “take this upstairs” clutter. At night, kids put it away… or I toss it. 🤷‍♀️
🕒 Loose Routine Poster — A simple rhythm keeps the “what are we doing today” questions to a minimum (and keeps me regulated).
🍎 Snack Station + Water Bottle Rule — One snack bin + one labeled water bottle per day = no more “Mom, I’m thirsty” 27 times.
📛 We use @inchbug labels and they never come off — DM me and I’ll send you the link!
📅 Pick-a-Plan Jar — A boredom buster that gives them the power to choose fun.
😒 And if they say “I’m bored” too many times? We switch to the I’m Bored Box.
Every time they complain, a toy goes in the box to be donated. (It’s like a swear jar… but for ungrateful energy 😂)

Traveling with kids? Let’s reduce the meltdowns Traveling with kids? Let’s reduce the meltdowns and crank up the joy 🧳✈️
I’m showing up prepared AND peaceful (ish) and because we don’t gate keep here are our top tips:✅ A snack bag just for the ride home
✅ Protein over sugar (future me says thank you)
✅ Gum for takeoff = zero ear meltdowns
✅ Mom’s Treasure Chest: mini prizes for good behavior
✅ Printed travel itinerary with doodle space + a “where are we now” tracker
✅ Talking through the day several times so nobody’s shocked by the waiting
✅ A book about our destination (we’re on the lookout for sloths 🦥 and frogs 🐸)
✅ One “anchor activity” per day → no burnout
✅ A reset kit just for me – because my regulation sets the tone
…and more where that came from.👜 Save this for your next family trip.
💬 Tell me your #1 travel tip in the comments—I’m always looking for more ways to enjoy the journey ✌️
If vacation feels more like emotional project mana If vacation feels more like emotional project management than actual rest — you’re not alone.
But before you pack the snacks, the toys, and the resentment… pack your mindset.

Here’s how:

1️⃣ Packed with peace > packed to perfection
💡 You can buy that forgotten thing. You can skip the toy overload. They’ll be just fine.
👉 Unless you’re heading into the middle of the jungle, you can replace almost anything.
👉 Skip the 1,000 toys. Let your kids be immersed in the new environment.
👉 Reminder: boredom births creativity — let them feel it.
🧠 Affirmation: “My presence matters more than my packing list.”2️⃣ You’re not the cruise director.
💡 Talk about expectations beforehand. And please model the behavior you want to see. No iPad scolding from behind your own phone screen.
📋 Set expectations before you leave: talk about downtime, independent play, and screen limits.
📱 Want them off screens? Get off yours first.
📖 Model the behavior: bring a physical book, a sketchpad, or just… swim.
👒 Adult play is needed too — build that damn sandcastle.
🧠 Affirmation: “My kids don’t need a perfect itinerary. They need a mom who’s present.”3️⃣ This is your trip too.
💡 Say it out loud: “I can’t wait to unplug.” Make it known what YOU want from the week. Be intentional. Reconnect. Rest. Laugh.
🎒 Let kids help plan + pack — age appropriately. It builds excitement and accountability.
🗣 Start saying out loud what you are excited for: “I can’t wait to unplug from work.”
🃏 Bring Uno. No phones. Just presence.
💑 Want couple time? Plan a post-bedtime balcony cocktail, shared playlist, or foot rub exchange. (Yes, really.)
🧠 Affirmation: “I get to enjoy this trip, not just deliver joy to everyone else.”Save this for your next trip and share with your travel besties! Follow along as we share all our travel hacks for mom!

Let this be the trip you actually enjoy.
You’re worth that. And then some.
